Negative test result:

Only one red line appears in the control region (C), and no line in the region (A), (B), and (T)

The negative result indicates that there are no Flu A/B and SARS-CoV-2 particles in the sample or the number of viral particles is below the detectable range. Even if you get a negative result, you still need to follow all public health advice on limiting the spread Covid-19 and Flu A/B.

If symptoms persist, repeat testing and consult a medical practitioner for follow-up clinical care.

Invalid test result:

No red line appears in the control region (C). The test is invalid even if there is a line on the region (A), (B), (A) and (B) or (T).

When no red line appears in the control region (C) for both tests, the test is INVALID for both Flu A/B and SARS-CoV-2.

Insufficient sample volume or incorrect procedural techniques are the most likely reasons for the control line (C) failure. Review the test procedure and repeat the test using a new test device. If invalid result continues after repeating, please contact Touch Biotechnology on the provided contact number or email for assistance.

Before beginning the process, ensure that you read the instructions that will be provided in the IFU pamphlet. The first step is ensuring that your hands are clean and dry before you begin opening up the package and laying out the different components of the test. The first part of the process is the swab test, where you insert the swab into your nasal cavity and twist it around in each nostril five times. You should be going carefully and slowly until you are about 2 cm into your nose. After this, you are going to place your swab in the extractor buffer tube, be sure to twist the swab against the tube and squeeze about 5 times.

Once you have discarded the swab into the biohazard specimen bag, screw the lid onto the extractor tube and shake the sample vigorously. The test itself should be placed on a hard surface where you will then drop 3 drops of the sample into the sample section of the test (two parts marked S). After waiting around 15 minutes, you should see two lines along the control section and you may also see lines along the indicator strips which determine if you have Influenza strain A, Influenza strain B or Covid-19!
